About Bluetooth Finder: Find Earbuds
Lost your earbuds again? Bluetooth Finder turns your phone into a hot-and-cold radar. Walk around the room and the app tells you when you are getting closer: the signal bar rises, the beeps speed up, the phone vibrates faster. It works with the phone in your pocket, so you can crawl under the sofa and still hear how close you are.
How the search works
Pick your device from the list, or save it once and find it with a single tap next time. The radar shows a smoothed signal strength, a rough distance zone and an arrow that tells you whether you are walking the right way. Turn the sound and the vibration on or off independently. Tap "Found it!" when you have it.
Not sure where to start? Turn on "Notify me when it shows up", put the phone in your pocket and walk around. The app keeps listening for up to 30 minutes, even with the screen off, and buzzes the moment your device appears within Bluetooth range.
Honest about what it can and cannot do
This app finds a device only while that device is powered on, still has battery and is actively sending a Bluetooth signal nearby, roughly within 10-30 metres depending on the device and the walls in between. It cannot find a device that is switched off or out of battery, it does not use GPS, it does not show a device on a map, and it cannot tell you an exact distance in metres — only "closer" or "farther" and an approximate zone. If a device cannot be found, the app explains why and gives you a checklist to try.
A real BLE toolkit, not just a finder
Switch to Pro mode and you get a full Bluetooth Low Energy scanner: live list with signal bars, manufacturer, connectable flag and time since the last packet, filters and sorting, and a details screen with a 60-second signal chart, advertised services and manufacturer data.
The GATT inspector connects to a device and shows the whole tree: services, characteristics with their properties, descriptors. Read values in hex, text or as integers and floats, write hex, text or decimal, and subscribe to notifications or indications with a timestamped log. Read the battery level and the device information: manufacturer, model, firmware. Useful for DIY electronics and for testing your own hardware, and for understanding what a device around you actually advertises.
Heart rate monitor
Works with standard Bluetooth heart rate straps. Live BPM, a two-minute chart, zones, RR intervals, a session timer with average, maximum and minimum. The session keeps running with the screen off. This is a fitness readout, not a medical device — do not use it for diagnosis.
Check for unknown trackers near you
Scan your surroundings for trackers that may be travelling with you, based on their known Bluetooth signatures. The app flags what looks like a tracker, carefully and without drama, and tells you what you can do about it.
Beacons
Parsers for iBeacon, Eddystone UID, URL and TLM, and AltBeacon. Advertising structures as Android reports them, explained.
Offline and private
No account, no sign-up, no internet needed for any of the Bluetooth features. Nothing about your devices is ever sent to us: the app has no server. On Android 11 and older, Android itself requires the location permission before any app may scan for Bluetooth — we never determine or store your location.
