Type Amharic the easy way. Amharic Keyboard gives you a full ፊደል (Ge'ez) keyboard and an English keyboard in one place, with beautiful themes and handy Ge'ez tools.

✍️ TWO WAYS TO TYPE AMHARIC • Phonetic typing: write the way it sounds and it turns into ፊደል as you type. selam → ሰላም, buna → ቡና, ityoPya → ኢትዮጵያ. • ፊደል layout: one key for each letter family. Tap a letter, then pick its vowel form from the strip above the keys (ለ ሉ ሊ ላ ሌ ል ሎ ሏ), or long-press a key to see the whole family. • Shift on the ፊደል layout gives you the rarer letters, Ethiopic punctuation (። ፣ ፤ ፥ ፦ ፧) and Ge'ez numerals. • Tap space twice to end a sentence with ። • Switch between Amharic phonetic, Amharic ፊደል and English with the 🌐 key.

🔒 PRIVACY Amharic Keyboard does not collect or send what you type. Passwords and other sensitive fields automatically switch off suggestions, learning and clipboard capture. We use Firebase to collect anonymous usage statistics and crash reports to help us improve it.

Open Amharic Keyboard and tap "Set up".
Enable Amharic Keyboard in your phone's keyboard settings.
