About CamGrid

Every drawer has an old phone in it. CamGrid turns those phones into cameras.

Set one device to send and another to view. The viewer finds every sender on your Wi-Fi by itself and shows them all at once, in a grid sized to how many there are — side by side, stacked, or two by two.

HOW IT WORKS
1. Open CamGrid on the device you want to use as a camera and tap "Send camera".
2. Open CamGrid on the device you want to watch from and tap "View cameras".
3. That's it. No pairing, no codes, no accounts.

WHAT YOU GET
• Up to four cameras on one screen at the same time
• The layout changes on its own as devices come and go
• Pick which camera each sender uses — front, back, ultra wide — from the viewer, without touching the other device
• Android phones and tablets, mixed freely
• Works in portrait and landscape, on phones and tablets alike
• Thirteen languages

WHAT PEOPLE USE IT FOR
Keeping an eye on a sleeping child from the next room. Watching the front door while working in the back. A second angle while filming. Seeing the workbench from the other side of the garage. Checking on a pet, a 3D printer, a rising loaf of bread.

STAYS ON YOUR NETWORK
There is no server. There is no account. Video goes straight from one device to the other over your own Wi-Fi and is encrypted on the way. Nothing is uploaded to the internet or recorded. If your router is off, CamGrid does nothing — because it never talks to anything outside your home.

Anyone on the same Wi-Fi who opens CamGrid can see a sending device; the sender shows how many people are watching. Use it only on a network you trust, not on public or shared Wi-Fi.

CamGrid is not a baby monitor or a security system: there is no sound, no alerts and no recording, and the picture stops if the Wi-Fi drops. Only film people who know about it.

No ads. No subscription. No tracking.

Both devices must be on the same Wi-Fi network.

What’s new

Version 1.0 · Updated September 25, 2026

- If a VPN blocks your local network, the sender no longer starts broadcasting and tells you why; the viewer shows the reason too. - The sender now broadcasts only on your local network. - Leaving the sender screen turns off the camera and the broadcast; they start again by themselves when you come back. - The viewer screen closes its connections while it's out of sight and reconnects when you return. - A new phone restored from your old phone's backup no longer gets mixed up with it.
