About Barista Maroc - Cafe Game 3D

Barista Maroc puts you behind the counter of a small Moroccan café, in 3D. Guests walk in, sit down, read the card and order: atay b nna3na3 (mint tea), espresso, nous-nous, café au lait, cappuccino, orange, banana or strawberry juice, herbal tea, louisa, hot milk or a cold soda from the fridge — fourteen drinks. You play three roles and switch between them at any moment.

WAITER
Bring the card, take the order (every guest says it out loud, in Moroccan darija), hand it in at the counter, carry the tray, serve, collect the bill before the guest gets impatient, clear the table and drop the dishes at the sink. A floating joystick moves the waiter; a tap on a table, on the golden notebook at the counter or on the dishes at the sink sends him there.

BARISTA
Every order is a sticky note, in the order they came in. Tap the note: the right glass is set down. Add mint and the sugar the guest asked for, then press and hold the tea to pour from the berrad — high, to get the foam — or pull a coffee from the three-group machine, steam the milk, serve a juice from the jug, an infusion from the kettle. When the drink is ready it goes on the tray; ring the bell and the waiter comes for it.

CLEANING
Glasses and cups are a finite stock: what comes back dirty has to be washed before the barista can use it again, and the bin has to go out. The pantry needs managing too: every dose of mint, tea, coffee or milk comes out of a jar, and when the jar is empty the recipe waits. Send Fatima shopping: she walks to the market and comes back with a full basket — the cost comes off the evening's takings. Do it yourself, or ask her and she takes care of it.

A CAFÉ THAT GROWS
Day one is a single guest with a step-by-step tutorial. Then the pace rises: more tables, more guests at once, tables of two, guests who want no sugar, extra milk, or their tea with three sugars. Tips reward good drinks served fast. Between two days, buy tables, a rug, a bigger berrad, a double machine, new outfits.

WHAT MAKES IT DIFFERENT
- Real 3D drinks: the glass fills as you pour, the foam depends on how high you raise the berrad.
- Moroccan voices: guests order, thank you, complain and say goodbye in darija; the barista sometimes sings.
- Recorded café ambience, glasses and cups clinking.
- Zellige floor, wooden counters, lanterns and niches: a café you would like to sit in.
- Five languages: English, French, Arabic, Spanish, German.
- Works fully offline.
