Handover: Vehicles & Equipment

Record the condition of a vehicle or equipment item when handing it over or taking it over. Keep the details, photos, tools and signatures together, then save or share a PDF report.

Handover works for two people reviewing a record on one phone, or for an operator recording their own observations before use.

VEHICLES AND EQUIPMENT
Save vehicles, machinery and equipment with registration, fleet, serial or asset numbers. Keep each asset's completed records together and look back at its previous condition.

TWO PEOPLE OR JUST YOU
Choose Hand over when passing an asset on, or Take over when receiving it. Use Two people when both people can review and sign. Choose Solo when working alone; a solo record does not show agreement from another person.

CONDITION NOTES AND PHOTOS
Record the observed condition, damage or missing items. Add up to six optional photos from the camera or gallery. Include a meter reading, fuel or battery level, location and accessories when useful. Drafts save as you work so you can return later.

TOOLS AND KIT
Create an optional kit list for each asset, using your own item names and quantities. Add record-specific items when needed. Check each item as present, missing or damaged, add notes for problems and link an existing condition photo. New records start with unchecked items, so previous findings are never assumed to apply again.

REVIEW, SIGN AND KEEP A REPORT
Review the details before drawing signatures. Editing draft details clears signatures for a fresh review. Completed records are locked in the app. Open, save or share a PDF containing the recorded details, photos, kit findings and signatures.

LOCAL RECORDS AND MANUAL BACKUPS
Your records are stored on your phone, with no Handover account or automatic cloud sync. Save or share a Handover ZIP backup containing assets, drafts, completed records, photos and signatures. Keep a copy outside the phone. Restoring a backup replaces the current records after confirmation; it does not merge them. PDF reports and ZIP backups are not password-protected by the app.

TRY TWO RECORDS FREE
Your first two completed records are free. Drafts do not count. Continue creating records with a one-off in-app purchase through Google Play, with no ongoing subscription. The price is shown before purchase. Your existing records, PDF reports and backups remain accessible after the free allowance is used.

Includes a getting-started guide and System, Light and Dark appearance options. Recording works offline; purchases and purchase restoration use Google Play.

Handover records observations and drawn acknowledgements. Names, signatures and device times are not independently verified. It does not replace required safety inspections or authorisation to operate equipment.
