About CareerRadar: Layoff Tracker
See where tech jobs are growing — and shrinking.
CareerRadar tracks hiring and layoff signals across 330+ tech companies and shows every figure with its source. No predictions, no fear-mongering — just what the public record shows.
WHAT IT MEASURES
• Open roles — counted daily from each company's own public job board (Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby), with 30-day change overall, for engineering, and per role track.
• Layoff notices — SEC 8-K filings that announce a workforce reduction, and state WARN notices (eight states: CA, WA, NY, MD, UT, TN, NC, CO), with the effective date.
• Headcount — the annual employee count from 10-K filings, year over year.
• News & discussion — layoff headlines from Google News and threads from Hacker News, clustered so one event is one row, with the number of independent outlets.
LAYOFF RISK INDEX
Each company gets a 0–100 index built from those signals with a fixed, published points table. The index always shows how many of its signals were actually measured — a company we can't see enough of is marked "insufficient data" instead of getting a made-up number. Pick your role and the index adds your track's hiring change.
WHAT YOU GET
• Job Risk Checker — choose a company and role, see the index, every signal behind it, and the links to verify.
• Rankings — companies by risk index, roles by change in openings.
• Company pages — the evidence: openings, filings, WARN notices, headcount, news.
• Compare — companies side by side.
• News — a filterable timeline of layoff reports by company.
• Watchlist — follow companies and see which signals have fired for them.
Free. No account. Available in English, Simplified and Traditional Chinese. Machine-translated headlines are marked and shown with the original.
HONEST NOTE
CareerRadar reports measured signals; it does not forecast whether you will be laid off. Coverage depends on what companies publish — a company without a public job board or SEC filings will show fewer measured signals.
