About Revv: Car Launcher
Revv replaces your Android head unit's launcher with a home screen built for driving. Live gauges from the engine, maps and directions, calls from your phone, the rear camera and your apps sit on one screen, each a tap away and sized for a glance.
LIVE OBD-II GAUGES
Plug a low-cost ELM327 adapter into your car's diagnostic port and the cluster comes alive.
• Works with Bluetooth, Bluetooth LE and Wi-Fi ELM327 adapters
• Speed, engine speed, engine load, throttle, coolant, intake air and battery voltage
• A gear indicator worked out from your gearbox ratios, or learnt as you drive
• Fault codes explained in plain English, pending codes, and clearing them once a fault is fixed
• Low battery and check-engine warnings, with a badge on the dock
• No adapter yet? A demo drive shows what every gauge does
ENGINE SOUND (EXPERIMENTAL)
A synthesised engine through the head unit's speakers that follows your car's revs, load and gear changes from the OBD-II adapter, or the demo drive. Off until you turn it on in Settings › Sound.
• Eleven engines, from an inline 3 to a V12: a boxer, an odd-fire V6, and cross- and flat-plane V8s
• Four exhausts, from stock to a straight pipe
• Pops on lift-off if you like, and a rev preview to try it parked
• Plays under your music with its own volume, and goes quiet for calls
MAPS AND DIRECTIONS
• OpenStreetMap maps drawn in the cluster's own style
• Search for places, addresses and areas
• Turn-by-turn routes, with the next turn shown right on the home screen
• Avoid tolls, north-up or heading-up, and your recent places
YOUR PHONE, OVER BLUETOOTH
Pair your phone with the head unit and Revv works like a car kit.
• Recent calls, favourites and your contacts, with A–Z quick scroll
• A T9 dialer that finds people as you type
• Calls placed through your phone, with a call bar and an end-call button
REAR CAMERA
• The head unit's own camera, live, with parking guide lines
• Picks a USB or external camera first; rotate the picture and switch cameras
APPS AND PROJECTION
• Every installed app, one tap from the dock
• Start Android Auto, or the projection app you choose
• See and control what your music app is playing
MADE FOR YOUR CAR
• Choose which cards and panels the home screen shows
• Turn the fuel card into a shortcut to any app
• Display size from 80% to 160%, with compact layouts for big text
• Date and time formats
• Dims at sunset or with the light sensor
• Big touch targets, with tap, dialer and keyboard sounds you can switch off
PRIVATE BY DESIGN
No account, no ads, no analytics. Your calls, contacts, car data and camera picture stay on the head unit. Maps, routes and place search use public OpenStreetMap services.
GOOD TO KNOW
• Needs Android 9 or newer and a landscape screen
• Make Revv your home app when Android asks, so the home button brings it back
• Set it up while parked, and keep your eyes on the road while driving
• OBD-II support is new: let us know how it works with your adapter and car

User reviews
Only two weeks since launch, and Revv has blown me away! After a few days on my Android head unit, I love its unique design, maps and feature-rich dashboard. Android Auto and CarPlay projection within the launcher, alongside OBD2 and Bluetooth, is brilliant. Wireless Android Auto still disconnects occasionally; I'd ...
