About us:
On July 17, 1959, fifteen landmen held a luncheon in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania for the purpose of organizing a Pittsburgh Chapter of the American Association of Professional Landmen. The new chapter was named in honor of the area's most famous landman, Michael Late Benedum. Today the Michael Late Benedum Chapter of the AAPL is a dynamic organization with members from many areas throughout the Appalachian Basin.
