Victuals

Victuals is a social app for food discovery where you can find restaurants and cafes, log your visits, rate your experiences, and build your own foodie profile. The app combines a social network, a personal journal, and smart recommendations so you not only find places to eat, but also reflect what you like, what you look for in a restaurant, and how your tastes evolve over time.

With Victuals, you can search for restaurants and cafes by city, area, neighborhood, name, type of cuisine, price range, rating, vibe, occasion, or proximity. You can also discover new places based on contextual recommendations, trends in your area, and profiles with similar tastes.

The app lets you create reviews with an overall rating, text, photos, date of visit, and whether you would return. You can also add context to each experience by indicating whether you went alone, as a couple, with friends, with family, or for work, as well as tag the occasion and atmosphere. You can also rate aspects such as food, service, ambiance, and value for money, and keep a real-time history of your experiences.

Victuals doesn't just rate restaurants. It also focuses on the dishes themselves, so you can highlight your favorites, compare experiences within the same establishment, and build a much more personal culinary identity. In addition, it includes a visit log, visual statistics, personalized lists, favorites, a wishlist, and a social layer designed to let you follow other users, see their reviews, discover new places, and connect with like-minded individuals.

If you enjoy discovering new places, saving your experiences, and turning your dining habits into something recordable, shareable, and personal, Victuals is the site for you.
