About Appoggio: Breath for Singers
Appoggio is Italian for "support" — the bel canto technique of supporting the voice with the breath. This app is breath training for classical singers, musical theater and contemporary vocalists, aspiring singers, and anyone who wants to sing better.
■ 4 TRAINING METHODS
• Extended Inhale Training — build breath support with long, steady inhalations
• Foundational Breath Support — balance a slow inhale and exhale
• Diaphragm Agility Warm-up — wake up the diaphragm with quick breaths
• Real Singing Breath Simulation — a short inhale and a long exhale, just like singing
■ LEVELS
Beginner, intermediate, advanced, or a custom level with your own seconds. You see the seconds for each step before you start.
■ STEP-BY-STEP TIMER
Inhale → open the throat → exhale → release: always see which step you're in. Sound and vibration cues mark each change, and the screen stays on while you train. 5 timer styles (circle, bar, wave, ring, equalizer).
■ HISTORY & REMINDERS
Current streak, total days, and a progress calendar that fills in when you complete all four methods in a day. Up to 5 daily reminders.
■ DISPLAY
Korean, English, German and Italian, dark mode, and 3 color themes (navy, bordeaux, charcoal).
■ EVERYTHING FREE
No sign-up, no purchases. Your training history stays on your device, and we collect no personal data.
Looking for a singing teacher? welegato, the music-lesson platform by Vicino Labs (the makers of Appoggio), connects you with teachers in Germany and Austria.
Note: breathing exercises do not replace medical advice or lessons with a qualified teacher. If you feel dizzy, stop and breathe normally.
