SSH Terminal is an SSH client and SFTP file manager for Android. Open a real shell on your server, move files in both directions, and keep your keys sealed on the device.

A REAL TERMINAL

A VT100/xterm emulator written from scratch, with 256 colours, a proper PTY and scrollback you can reach. Vim, htop, tmux, less and man pages render the way they do on a desktop. An on-screen key row puts Ctrl, Esc, Tab, arrows and the function keys within thumb reach, so Ctrl-C and Ctrl-R work without fighting the soft keyboard.

SFTP THAT BEHAVES LIKE A FILE MANAGER

Browse the remote filesystem, upload from anywhere on your phone, download to anywhere, create folders and delete files. Transfers go through Android's own file picker, so internal storage, an SD card or a cloud provider are all valid sources and destinations.

KEYS THAT STAY PUT

Import an OpenSSH private key or generate one on the device. Passphrase-protected keys are supported. Private keys and passwords are encrypted with a hardware-backed key in the Android Keystore and released only after your fingerprint or face unlocks them.

HOST KEYS PINNED ON FIRST CONTACT

The first time you reach a host, the app shows you its fingerprint, the same SHA-256 string ssh-keygen prints, and waits for you to accept before it authenticates. That key is then pinned. If it ever changes, the connection stops and says so instead of quietly connecting to whatever answered.

SESSIONS THAT SURVIVE

A session keeps running while you take a call or check a message. The app holds a foreground service so Android does not freeze the socket out from under a long-running command.

WHAT IT DOES NOT DO

There is no account to create, no cloud sync, and no analytics or advertising SDKs. Your hosts, keys and files stay on your device and travel only to the servers you point the app at.
