Meter Readings keeps every number from your electricity, gas and water meters in one place, and turns them into what you actually used. Type the number on the dial once a month, or whenever the supplier asks, and the app works out usage per day, this month so far, and where the year is heading. It is the meter readings app for households and small landlords who want their own record.

Every kind of meter
Electricity on a single rate or day and night registers, gas in cubic metres, cubic feet or hundreds of cubic feet, water in cubic metres or gallons, heating oil tanks, solar generation and EV charger sub-meters, or any meter with your own unit. Several properties are fine. Each gas meter reading can be shown in kWh with the calorific value from your bill, the same formula UK suppliers use.

Readings you can trust
The app warns when a reading is lower than the last one, and asks whether the dial rolled past 99999 or the supplier replaced the meter, so a new meter never breaks your history. A slipped digit that would mean a huge jump is flagged before it is saved. Add a photo of the dial with each reading.

Usage, costs and bill checks
See electricity usage and gas and water use per day, per month and year on year, with charts beside the same month last year: an energy usage tracker built from your own readings. Enter your unit rates, standing charge and VAT with the dates they changed, and see what each period cost, with a price change mid-month split by days. Type in a bill and see it beside what your readings say it should be.

Your records, on your phone
Share a readings history PDF or a CSV when you need to show a supplier your numbers. A monthly reminder nudges you to take a gas meter reading or read the water meter on the day you choose. No account, no ads, no analytics: everything stays on your phone, and you can export or delete all of it at any time.
