vakyu: AI Voice Practice

vakyu is an AI voice practice app for adult international learners who want to speak with more confidence.

Skip isolated sentences and start speaking in context. Choose a real-life scenario and practice a short voice conversation with an AI voice partner. You can also have a free conversation or set one learning goal for a gentle, natural conversation. Your target language and interface language can be set separately.

With vakyu, you can:

• Practice everyday scenarios such as travel, ordering food, shopping, transport and work
• Choose guided scenario practice, free conversation or goal-guided conversation
• Start a practice session whenever you are ready, or set a practice time and enter from a reminder
• Adjust your AI voice partner’s voice, mood and speaking speed
• Review practice history, transcripts, corrections and learning suggestions
• Save new words and useful phrases, then follow weekly goals, practice stats, points and badges
• Join an optional 18+ learner community with posts, comments, follows, reports and blocking tools

Privacy and permissions

• Microphone access is requested only when you actively start or enter an in-app voice practice session.
• Location is optional and is used only when you choose to add a place to a community post. Other users do not receive your precise coordinates.
• You can manage cross-session memory, recording and transcript retention, export your data or permanently delete your account in the app.
• The community is for adults aged 18 and over.
