Diuretic resistance is a common clinical problem that is often characterized by variable volume control over time. This variability is typically addressed by titrating diuretic regimens according to weights and symptoms. The existing means for empowering patients to adjust their diuretics is limited to written instructions for modest modifications in dosing. This strategy has limited efficacy in maintaining volume control.
Diuretic Tuner is a mobile app to designed to improve ambulatory volume control in patients with chronic kidney disease. The app instructs patients in day to day adjustments of their diuretics based on changes in weight and blood pressure, and it aims to provide effective volume control in patients with nephrotic range proteinuria or chronic kidney disease stages 4 and 5.
Diuretic Tuner may only be used by patients whose healthcare provider has already set up an account for them.
