About USB-C Checker: HDMI Video Out

Find out if your phone can show its screen on a TV or monitor with a USB-C to HDMI cable, before you buy the adapter. USB-C Checker tests your phone's USB-C port for video output (DisplayPort Alt Mode, Samsung DeX), measures charging speed in watts and checks USB OTG, in one small, honest app.

✅ VIDEO OUTPUT CHECK (HDMI · DISPLAYPORT ALT MODE · DEX)
A USB-C port that charges is not always able to send video. Most checkers guess from one signal and get it wrong. USB-C Checker combines several:
• Your phone model, compared with a list of phones known to support USB-C video output
• The alternate modes your USB-C port advertises (DisplayPort Alt Mode), when your phone shares them
• Your USB controller speed: video needs USB 3, a USB 2.0 port can't do it
• Vendor DisplayPort settings and Samsung DeX
You get one clear result: Supported, Probably supported, Probably not supported, or Unknown. When the information isn't reliable, we say Unknown instead of guessing "not supported".

📺 CONFIRM WITH A CABLE
Plug in a USB-C to HDMI adapter and a TV, monitor or projector. The card turns green the moment Android sees the screen and shows its resolution and refresh rate. That is real proof, not a guess.

🔎 CHECK ANOTHER PHONE
Buying a new phone for a USB-C monitor setup? Type its name (Galaxy S24, Pixel 9, Xperia 1 V, Fairphone 5…) or a Samsung model code and see if it supports video output.

⚡ CHARGING SPEED METER
• Live battery input power in watts, current in mA and voltage
• Peak power, a live graph, battery level and temperature
• Find the charger and cable that charge fastest, and the one that is slowing you down
We are honest about limits: Android measures power at the battery, not at the wall, and phones slow charging above about 80%. The app tells you when a reading can't be trusted.

🔌 USB OTG CHECKER
See whether your phone supports USB OTG (On-The-Go), then plug in a flash drive, keyboard, mouse, gamepad or camera to confirm it works. Every connected USB device is listed with its type.

🛠 USB-C PORT DETAILS
For power users: USB-C data and power role, power mode (USB PD, 1.5 A, 3 A), USB-C and Power Delivery revision, alternate modes with their SVIDs, DisplayPort properties and DeX. Copy the full report to share it on a forum or with support.
