SATV: Send APK & Files to TV

SATV is a file manager for your phone and your TV that moves files between them over your own Wi-Fi. Pick any file or APK on your phone, Download included, and send it to Android TV, Google TV or Fire TV. On the TV, SATV manages everything it received: open PDFs, text and zip files on the big screen, free up space, and install the apps you sent.

FILE MANAGER ON YOUR PHONE
- Pick any file or APK on your phone, Download included, or browse the folders you choose to share
- Filter by type: APK, video, photos, music, documents and archives
- Sort by name, date or size and select several files at once
- Send everything you selected to your TV in one tap

FILE MANAGER ON YOUR TV
- See every file and app SATV received, with its size
- Open photos, videos, PDFs, text files and zip archives directly on the TV
- Delete files to free space on small TV storage
- Install received APK files, split APKs included, with Android's own installer
- Open sideloaded apps that never appear on the TV home screen, or remove them

INSTALL APK ON ANDROID TV AND FIRE TV
- Send any app installed on your phone, or APK, APKS, XAPK and APKM files
- Split APKs transfer in full, with every part sent together
- SATV checks whether a package can run on the TV before the transfer starts
- Android's package installer performs every install and always shows its confirmation screen

SEND AND CAST
- Photos and video at full quality, with no re-compression
- Documents, music, archives and any other file
- Cast photos, video and music to a smart TV's built-in player over DLNA
- Send to another phone or tablet the same way

WORKS WITH
- Android TV and Google TV
- Fire TV Stick, Fire TV Cube and other Fire TV devices
- Nvidia Shield, Chromecast with Google TV and Android TV boxes
- Phones and tablets
- Smart TVs with DLNA, for photo, video and music playback

Installing apps requires Android on the receiving device. On a DLNA-only television, including many Samsung and LG sets, you can still cast photos, video and music.

GETTING STARTED
Install SATV on your phone and on your TV. Open it on the TV and it is ready to receive; it can also start automatically when the TV boots. No app on your phone yet? Scan the QR code shown on the TV.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
Files move directly between your devices across your own Wi-Fi. They are never uploaded, and there is no account to create. SATV sends anonymous usage and crash statistics so we can fix problems; it never collects file names, file contents or device names.

NO SIZE LIMITS
A 4 GB video transfers the same way a photo does, and transfers keep running while the app is in the background.
