Govt Girls PG College, Ujjain, was established in 1958 and is affiliated to Vikram University, Ujjain under the Section 2(f) 12 (B) of UGC Act 1995. It was primarily housed in the building of a Govt. Vijayaraje Higher Secondary School, Ujjain. In 1963 the college was shifted to its own building in a prime location in the city facilitating access and inclusion of girls in Higher Education with safe college campus and hostel facilities. Since then, the ever-expanding phenomenon of growth continues till date.
