UmiRedi was developed to strengthen climate and disaster resilience across Solomon Islands. By giving people access to timely, reliable information, the platform supports communities and schools in planning for the risks they face, and helps decision-makers act with greater confidence, using digital technology to turn information into action.

UmiRedi also reflects what can be achieved when we work together. Government, communities, technical partners, and development partners have joined forces to build a more resilient future for all Solomon Islanders.

Built for households, schools, and communities to prepare for, respond to, and recover from cyclones, floods, tsunamis, earthquakes, and other hazards, UmiRedi puts early warning alerts, incident reporting, and preparedness planning in your pocket — designed to keep working even with limited or no internet connection.

Receive verified, time-critical alerts for cyclones, floods, tsunamis, and
other hazards for your province and ward, plus current flag status and
weather forecasts.

👪 Family Safety Plans
Build a household emergency plan — list family members, agree on meeting
points, and save emergency contacts. This information stays private on your
own device.

🏫 School & Community Plans
Schools and community leaders can maintain disaster preparedness plans,
hazard assessments, and risk assessments, keeping every community
plan-ready before disaster strikes.

📋 Incident Reporting
Report incidents as they happen with photos, voice notes, and location —
so government agencies and response teams get accurate, real-time
information from the ground.

🎮 Learn Through Play
Quizzes, mini-games, quests, and a leaderboard make disaster preparedness
knowledge stick — for teens and adults alike.

🌦️ Weather & Livelihood Advisories

UmiRedi does not require your name, phone number, or email to use the app.
Family Safety Plan and Emergency Contacts details you enter stay only on
your device and are never uploaded. Read the full privacy policy at

IMPORTANT

UmiRedi supports, but does not replace, official warnings and instructions from MECDM, the National Disaster Management Office (NDMO), the Solomon Islands Meteorological Services, and your local authorities. Always follow official advice in an emergency. Alerts may be delayed or missed
when your phone has no signal.

You can delete your data at any time from Profile > Delete my data.
