Tong – টং

Tong is a friendship app for Bangladeshi adults. Meet people near you, one at a time, and make real friends, in Bangla or English, in Bangladesh or abroad.

REAL PEOPLE, CHECKED
• Every profile has passed a live camera check.
• Every photo is checked, so the photos on a profile are of the person you see.
• Anything unclear goes to a trained Tong reviewer.
• Nobody sees you until your own checks are done.

ONE PERSON AT A TIME
• One person at a time, with full-screen photos.
• Swipe through their photos, open their profile, and send a friend request.
• A chat opens only when they accept. Nobody can message you before that.

CHAT YOUR WAY
• Text and emoji, photos, voice messages and video messages.
• Replies and reactions.

YOUR PRIVACY
• Others see your profile name, age, area, a rounded distance (or your country, if they are far away), your approved photos and what you write on your profile.
• They never see your full name, mobile number, email, date of birth or exact location.
• Download your data or delete your account at any time in Settings.

SAFE BY DESIGN
• Report or block anyone, from their profile or from any message.
• Tong's team reviews reports, the most serious first.
• Adults only: you must be 18 or over.

WHO CAN JOIN
• You need a Bangladeshi mobile number (+880) that can receive an SMS.
• Tong works in Bangladesh and abroad, except in Australia for now.
• Log in with your phone number, email, Apple or Google.

Tong is named after the টং দোকান, the neighbourhood tea stall where friends meet over tea.
