GUIDED PICKUP AND RETURN CAPTURE
Follow the same eight exterior angles at pickup and return. ClearReturn checks brightness, sharpness and resolution on the device before a photo is accepted, so a blurred or dark shot is caught while you can still retake it.
LINE THE RETURN SHOT UP
At return, your pickup photo fades into the viewfinder so you can stand roughly where you stood before. Photos that line up are what makes any later comparison worth anything.
SIDE-BY-SIDE REVIEW
View both passes together per angle. An optional on-device comparison can highlight areas worth your own look. Highlights are hints, never findings, and an empty result is not a clean bill of health. Only notes you confirm enter the record.

LOCAL INTEGRITY RECORD
Each accepted photo gets a SHA-256 hash of the stored copy. A hash shows that the stored copy has not changed since it was saved. It does not prove when the photo was taken or which vehicle it shows.
PRIVATE BY DEFAULT
No account, no analytics SDK, no advertising SDK, no cloud AI. Photos and records stay on this device.
EXPORT YOUR CONDITION RECORD
Export a JSON record for yourself. It carries hashes, times and the notes you confirmed - not photo pixels. Review any file before sharing it.
IMPORTANT LIMITS
ClearReturn records observations you confirm. It does not determine when or how a mark occurred, legal liability, fraud, repair cost, insurance coverage or reimbursement. The comparison works on regional colour averages and cannot resolve a fine scratch. It does not guarantee that every condition is visible or recorded.
