About Florida Catholic News
With a mission to educate readers on issues of importance to the Catholic
Church and the flock, the Florida Catholic published its first weekly issue on
December 1, 1939. In the eight decades since, the newspaper had grown to
include six of the seven dioceses of Florida, and now it includes four digital
editions for three of Florida’s dioceses and its archdiocese.
Today, Florida Catholic Media, Inc. is a multimedia communication services
provider that supports its partner dioceses and other Catholic collaborators
by being an authentic and reliable source of news and information that
people trust to foster and promote the Catholic Church and their faith life.
