Castbook: Catch & Fishing Log

Castbook is a fishing log that doesn't charge you to remember. Every catch goes into your catch log in seconds, your fishing spots stay yours and your personal bests update by themselves, all free and offline.

LOG A CATCH IN SECONDS
• Your usual species are one tap away, plus a searchable list of 82 freshwater and saltwater species, or type your own
• Length and weight, bait or lure, released or kept, a photo and a note
• The time fills in by itself, and one tap on "Use my location" saves your GPS position (the first time, Android asks for permission), even out on the water with no signal
• Your first catch of the day starts the trip for you

YOUR FISHING SPOTS STAY SECRET
• Save unlimited fishing spots with their exact coordinates
• Nobody else ever sees them: no feed of anglers, no public catch map
• Two taps (⋮ › Open in Maps) send a spot to your maps app to find the ramp or the bank again

RECORDS AND STATS, FREE
• Personal best for every species, by length and by weight
• Catches by species, by month and by year
• Trips, catch-and-release rate and your blank days
• Search your journal and filter by species, spot, bait and dates

SUN AND MOON, OFFLINE
• Sunrise, sunset, moonrise, moon phase and illumination for today, worked out on your phone

YOUR LOGBOOK IS YOURS
• Save your whole logbook to a file, photos included, and bring it back on a new phone, free
• Take every catch to a spreadsheet as CSV, free
• Inches and pounds, or centimeters and kilograms
• No sign-up: your catches live on your phone, not on our servers
