About Pulsebeat
Pulsebeat is a practice-room metronome that keeps time by a running clock rather than a repeating timer, so it does not drift while you play. Set the tempo, pick a time signature — including your own — choose straight beats, eighths, triplets or sixteenths, and accent the first beat of the bar.
The beat is something you can see and feel, not just hear: a swinging pendulum, a pulse ring that flashes on each beat, a grid of dots that lights up across the bar, and vibration that hits harder on the accent. The click is a light built-in system sound you can switch off entirely — the visual beat carries on without it.
Do not know the tempo? Tap it in. Four taps and the reading settles; one button sends it straight to the metronome.
Then there is the trainer. Twelve exercises across three levels take you from four on the floor through off-beat eighths and the gallop to mixed sixteenth-and-rest bars. The rhythm is drawn as note-value blocks and rests, you get a count-in bar, and then you tap it. Afterwards you see how many hits landed on time, your average offset, and whether you are consistently rushing or dragging. Set the tolerance tight or forgiving, and your best score is kept.
Save the tempos you use into a setlist and load them in a tap. Choose a wood-and-colour theme, set the flash brightness and vibration strength, and work in English or Norwegian. No account, no ads, no recordings, nothing leaving your phone.
