About My Expense — Spend Tracker
Expenses is a small, fast tracker for the money that actually leaves your
pocket. Open it, tap a category, type an amount. That's the whole thing.
WHAT IT DOES
• Quick log — your four most-used categories sit on the home screen, ordered
by how often you use them. One tap opens the amount field with the category
already chosen.
• Today, this week, this month — the totals you check most, on one card, with
this month compared against the same number of days last month.
• History — every expense grouped by day, searchable by note or category, and
filterable. Any row can be re-logged to today in one tap.
• Trends — daily, weekly and monthly spending as a chart over 7 days to 24
months, with a ranked breakdown of where the money went.
• Home screen widget — your month, week and daily average at a glance, plus
six category shortcuts that jump straight into the amount field.
• App lock — keep your spending behind your phone's own fingerprint, face or
screen lock.
WHAT IT DELIBERATELY DOESN'T DO
• No account and no sign-in. Nothing to create, nothing to remember.
• No ads and no purchases.
• No bank connections and no reading your SMS. You enter what you spend.
• No income, balances or budgets — this tracks spending, and nothing else.
YOUR DATA STAYS ON YOUR PHONE
Expenses stores everything in a single file on your device. The app has no
internet permission and sends nothing anywhere.
Android's own backup copies that file to your Google Drive so it comes back
when you reinstall or set up a new phone. You can also export a backup as a
plain, readable JSON file at any time and keep it wherever you like, then
restore it later — merging it in, or replacing what's on the phone.
BEFORE YOU INSTALL
• Amounts are in Indian Rupees only. There is no currency setting and no
conversion.
• Weeks run Sunday to Saturday.
• The app is light-themed only; there is no dark mode.
• The home screen widget is an Android feature.
Expenses stays out of your way.
