Photo Vault - Hide & Lock Pics

Hide photos, videos and notes in an encrypted vault that never leaves your phone. No account, no cloud, works offline.

Photo Vault is built around one idea: every PIN opens its own vault.
• Your real PIN opens your real vault.
• An optional decoy PIN opens a separate vault that you fill with whatever you like.
• An optional emergency PIN always opens an empty vault, and nothing added there is kept.
All three look exactly the same. If you are ever pressured to unlock the app, you decide what gets shown.

Calculator icon, only if you turn it on
Photo Vault uses a vault icon by default. In Settings you can switch the launcher icon to a calculator. It is a working calculator: type your PIN and press = to open the vault. You can switch back at any time.

What you can keep private
• Photos and videos, added with the Android photo picker, so the app never asks for access to your whole gallery
• Or share straight from your gallery or Google Photos: tap Share, pick Photo Vault, unlock, and they land in the vault (sharing is hidden while the calculator icon is on)
• Delete the originals after import, only if you choose to, and Android asks you to confirm
• Secret notes, stored in the same encrypted vault

Getting photos back out
Pinch or double-tap to zoom in the photo viewer. When you want pictures back, select several and save them to your gallery in one go (Android 10 and up).

Locks that stay out of your way
• Fingerprint unlock for the real vault (Android 9 and up)
• Auto-locks when you leave the app or the screen turns off, right away or after 1 minute

Moving to a new phone
There is no cloud copy, so Photo Vault creates a password-protected backup file you can take to your new phone. Restoring replaces what is in the vault on that phone. PINs are not included in the backup, so you set new ones on the new phone. An occasional reminder helps you keep your backup up to date.

Forgot your PIN?
There is no account, so a PIN cannot be recovered. From the PIN screen you can erase everything and start over, then restore your backup file. One more reason to keep a backup.

About ads
Photo Vault shows a banner, and an interstitial may appear after an import or a backup finishes. There are never ads on the PIN screen. A one-time purchase removes ads, and it can be restored through Google Play.

Available in 15 languages.

Made for anyone who wants a private gallery to hide pictures without handing them to a cloud service, and for anyone who wants a plan for the moment someone asks to see their phone.
