Indian School of Motion

Becoming the top 1% of motion designers in India is not for everyone.
But if you are serious about a career in motion design, you have found the right place.

WELCOME TO INDIAN SCHOOL OF MOTION
A community for the next generation of motion designers in India.
ISOM is built for video editors who want to step beyond editing into motion design. The shift from trimming footage to shaping ideas through timing, typography, composition and animation. The shift into someone who grows with the technology instead of watching it pass them by, with generative and programmatic AI tools built into your core workflow.
Learn from motion designers who worked on launch videos for YC backed startups. Build real work. Get feedback. Find opportunities. Build a career around motion.
Not just another course library. A place to actually become a motion designer.

LEARN MOTION DESIGN THE RIGHT WAY
Most people start with software. We start with design.
Knowing where every feature sits in a tool does not make you a motion designer. Understanding composition, hierarchy, timing, rhythm, weight, movement and visual storytelling does.
Learn the fundamentals. Then the tool. Then how to make work people want to hire you for.

THE 12 WEEK PROGRAM
Design and motion fundamentals. After Effects from zero to pro. ISOM's 8 animation principles. Graph editor and custom easing. Expressions and procedural motion. Kinetic typography. UI and product motion for SaaS, apps and Lottie handoff. Brand motion and logo animation. AI in motion design. Real world style breakdowns. Professional workflow, project hygiene and delivery. Brief to final: research, moodboard, styleframes, storyboard, animation, sound, delivery. Portfolio, showreel, pricing, positioning and outreach.

GET HIRED WITHOUT THE EMPTY PROMISES
We do not guarantee jobs. Nobody honestly can.
What we give you is assistance. For Career Launch students that means portfolio reviews, showreel feedback, outreach strategy, interview preparation, mock interviews, career guidance and access to real job openings through our placement partner and a network of startups, agencies and studios hiring motion designers.
A certificate does not get you hired. Good work does. You get the certificate, but your portfolio and communication skills are what anyone hiring will actually judge you on.

INDIA'S MOTION DESIGN COMMUNITY
For too long Indian creative talent has been treated as cheap execution.
We think Indian motion designers should be known for taste, craft, storytelling and skill.
Learn. Create. Share. Get feedback. Meet people. Find opportunities. Get better. Get hired.
Welcome to Indian School of Motion.
Become the motion designer that brands are hunting for.
