About Duplicant: Clone Apps

Two accounts. One phone.

Duplicant makes a second copy of an app you already have. Both sit on your home screen, both stay signed in, and neither one knows about the other.

Tap a clone and it opens.

NOTIFICATIONS ARRIVE
A clone gets its own notifications, with its own icon, its own sound and its own buttons. This is the thing people ask for most, and it works for the apps we have tested it on.

TELL YOUR COPIES APART
Give a clone its own name and a coloured mark. "Work" and "Personal", instead of two identical icons you have to guess between.

NO ACCOUNT, NO SYNC
No account and no sign-up. Duplicant does not see what you do inside a copy: your logins, messages and files stay on your phone. A few things do leave, and they are worth saying plainly. If something breaks, Duplicant can send us a report naming the app it broke on — that switch is in Settings and you can turn it off. And the free version's ads come from Google, which receives what an ad is normally told. If you sign in to Google inside a copy, your Google account address goes to Google so that Google can sign you in. And when an app in a copy shows a map, the map is downloaded from an outside map service. The Privacy Policy describes them in full.

WHAT'S FREE
Two copies of each app and five copies in total. Everything except Lock and hidden copies is included: profiles, home-screen shortcuts, a searchable app list, putting your copies in any order, and a stop button that closes a copy for real. The free version shows ads.

DUPLICANT MAX
One payment. No subscription, nothing renews, and nothing to cancel. It removes the ads, raises both limits, and adds two ways to keep a copy to yourself. Lock: a copy opens only with your phone's own PIN, pattern, password or fingerprint, and its notifications don't show what they say. Hidden copies: a hidden copy leaves the grid and Recents, and its notifications don't name the app.

HIDDEN COPIES
To see your hidden copies, press and hold the Duplicant logo next to your profile name, then use your phone's screen lock or a PIN, password or pattern you set. If you set your own, you get a recovery code. Keep it: we can't reset it for you.
A hidden or locked copy can keep the photos and files it saves inside it, out of your gallery. Save them to the gallery whenever you like. Clearing or removing the copy deletes them, and Duplicant warns you first.
You can also block screenshots of a hidden or locked copy.
Hiding keeps a copy out of casual view. It does not protect against someone with full control of the phone.

WHAT IT CANNOT DO
Some apps check whether they are running inside a copy and refuse to start. Banking apps and some games are the usual ones, and no cloning tool can change that.
Only one copy of each app receives push notifications at a time, and you choose which one.
VPN apps do not work inside a copy.
Up to 32 copies can run at the same time.
Copies do not get your location.
On some Android versions, a blank card can stay in Recents while a hidden copy is the most recent app.

PERMISSIONS
Duplicant asks for what it needs to run your copies, plus the advertising ID the free version's ads use. Android can also ask you for the camera, the microphone, access to music and audio, your contacts, access to photos and videos, or a phone permission. That happens only during setup, which you can skip, or when a copy asks, and the box says Duplicant. If you say no, the copy just can't use that part. No location.

What’s new

Version 0.53 · Updated November 1, 2026

Fixed a crash when opening some screens inside copies.

Wat
Wat
literally no better cloning app than this. no ads, 5 max free clones, premium is a one-time fee, UI looks great, and the custom app icons just make sense. I'd give 10 stars if I could. hopefully they maintain it consistently. good job regardless.
