Have you ever wondered what is the actual energy your car consumes in kWh? Car Energy Meter estimates energy consumption while you ride on a vehicle.

Car Energy Meter works like an energy counter and can be used to estimate energy consumption as if the vehicle were an electric vehicle. It will estimate the energy consumption during a trip with any vehicle.

Based on vehicle type and total weight info, the app calculates energy consumption of the vehicle while you ride. Instant kinetic energy and estimated total energy consumption are displayed.

See relative kinetic energy changes on bar graphs. Observe how driving stile, vehicle size and weight, route parameters such as traffic, road elevation changes affect energy consumption.

You can see energy quantities in many units such as kWh, kWh/km, km/kWh, mi/kWh and kWh/mi. In addition, car energy meter calculates gasoline equivalent in mpg and L/100 km.

Speedometer function with many features is included in the app.

Trying different vehicle types and weight values in Car Energy Meter settings, you can compare total energy consumption between different vehicles.
Let's say your vehicle is an SUV and you want to estimate energy consumption if you had an electric sedan with less weight and less air friction.

If you already own an electric car, you can estimate how would energy consumption differ if it were (for example) a minivan with more weight. Estimated air friction for different vehicle types is automatically included in calculations.

As a special type of trip computer, Car Energy Meter presents real time display of these parameters in a variety of units.

Gasoline equivalent of average energy consumption is calculated in units of miles per gallon (mpg) or liters per 100 kilometers' (L/100 km). These equivalent energy calculations are based on EPA guidelines.

Estimated energy quantities may differ from the exact values due to sensor or calculation accuracy However effects of changing driving stile, car weight, car size, and road elevation can easily be observed by using Car Energy Meter.
