Explore your 3D files before the next step. STL Viewer brings model viewing, measurements and mesh inspection together so you can examine a design before discussing it or sending it to a slicer.

OPEN AND EXPLORE
Open ASCII and binary STL files, geometric OBJ and core 3MF models. Rotate, zoom and pan, fit a model to the screen, or jump to standard camera views. Switch between perspective and orthographic projection. Explore solid shading, wireframe, solid with wireframe, transparency and normals, with contrast presets, lighting, optional grid and axes.

MEASURE YOUR MODEL
Read X, Y and Z dimensions, triangle counts, connected components and surface area. Pick points on the model to measure distances and three-point angles. Use vertex snap, label multiple measurements and keep annotations attached as you rotate the view. Set the unit interpretation for STL and OBJ, then convert displayed values between millimeters, centimeters, meters and inches. Core 3MF uses its declared units.

LOOK INSIDE WITH CROSS SECTIONS
Move a section plane along X, Y or Z, invert the clipping side and examine the intersection contour. Hide or isolate connected objects, or offset them visually to understand an assembly. Inspection tools preserve the source geometry.

CHECK MESH GEOMETRY
Review counts and highlights for open edges, non-manifold edges, degenerate faces and inconsistent edge orientations. Volume appears only when the implemented topology and winding checks allow it. Self-intersections, shell nesting, wall thickness and printer settings are not checked. An inspection result does not guarantee printability or certified accuracy.

SAVE AND RETURN
Keep projects with an imported source copy, camera, measurements, object visibility and section settings. Find models by local label, sort your library, mark favorites and return to recent inspections. Clear preview images or delete saved projects while preserving the original document. Save an inspection before leaving to retain it.

SHARE YOUR INSPECTION
Preview and share a PNG of the actual view with measurement annotations, or a text report with dimensions, units and diagnostic results. Choose the destination through the system share interface.

FORMAT AND SIZE LIMITS
OBJ materials and textures are omitted. Core 3MF geometry, units and basic object transforms are supported; unsupported required extensions are reported. Imports are limited to 64 MiB, 650,000 triangles and 256 displayed objects or components. Archive safeguards also apply. Performance depends on your model and device.

STL Viewer focuses on viewing, measurement and inspection. It does not edit CAD geometry, repair meshes, slice toolpaths or control a printer.
