Just a simple battery level alarm to help improve battery longevity
Why
Devices nowadays have built in batteries that aren't easily replaced. Normally one has to bring the device to service facility for them to disassemble the device, replace the battery and rebuild the device. This takes devices away from users and it cost some money. The alternative is to take care of your battery so it can last as long as possible.
How
Batteries of today have greater degradation if they are charged to 100% or discharged to 0%. Ideally if the battery is kept between about 20% and 80% it would have a lot less degradation. At the same time chargers are much faster in this battery level range to keep battery degradation to minimum.
This app
Unfortunately devices don't allow developers to control it's charging levels. The next best thing is an alarm that alarms the user when to connect or disconnect charger. This app is a simple alarm that triggers when battery level drops bellow or above set level when charging. The goal is to have as lightweight app as possible so that it doesn't use unnecessary resources.
There is no gathering of data and therefore no predictions on how long the battery might last. It's just a simple battery alarm that makes some noise and vibrates when battery level triggers it. There is a good system battery app or other apps on the platform if you want graphs, predictions and other fancy stuff.
To use it you have to open the app. After that the notification appears to let you now that the app is running. If there are no notifications the app is not running and you have to run the app. In the settings page you can change low and high battery levels, alarm duration, night mode and choose ringtone. You can enable screen brightness change for app's main screen. It's dimmed if low level is triggered and the brightness is set to maximum if high level is triggered. Volume of the sound is controlled with device's alarm volume control (you can change volume when the alarm is playing). If you want that alarm just vibrates when device is set to vibrate or silent you can enable Sound Mode. If this is not enabled the alarm will sound no matter if device is set to vibrate or silent. There is also an option to turn off the whole alarm. That means that the app won't run in the background and won't alarm you. There won't be any notifications. In order to use the app as intended you have to allow notifications for this app. Otherwise it won't run in the background. When the alarm is triggered the app is launched to the front where the button to stop the alarm appears. At the same time notification is shown that battery level is above or bellow set value. The alarm will stop with the press of the button on the main screen, on alarm notification or by plugging or unplugging power.
Troubleshooting
If the app is being killed by the system you can try telling the system NOT to battery optimise this app. Normally this is done with:
settings -> Apps -> Just Battery Alarm -> Battery -> Battery optimisation and set Don't optimise for this app.
There is also great website that tries to help with this issue:

Known issues
⭐ On some Huawei phones the background service with notification is killed regardless of battery optimisation setting for this app. Try turning on AutoStart permission
⭐ With version 1.12 an option for periodic checks was added. This is checking if background service (and notification) is working. If it's not working it is restarted. It's not perfect solution but the app should work more reliably.
