About Voice Pitch Analyzer & Monitor
Voice Pitch is a speaking voice pitch analyzer, monitor and practice log. Talk normally and watch the pitch of your voice in hertz (Hz) as you speak, see whether it sits inside a target range you set yourself, and read a short passage aloud to get a clear summary you can save and compare over days and weeks. No account is needed: open the app, allow the microphone and start speaking.
LIVE PITCH IN HZ
• Your current speaking pitch in Hz, with the nearest musical note name, updated while you talk
• An 8-second pitch trace that draws your voice as a line, with your target range shown as a green band
• A clear status line: inside your target range, above it or below it
• Pauses, breaths and hissing sounds are left out, so the trace follows voiced sound only
READ-ALOUD CHECK
• Read a fixed passage at your normal speaking pace; the same text each time keeps sessions comparable
• Median pitch of the reading in Hz, with its note name
• Where most of your speech sits: the 10th to 90th percentile range in Hz
• Intonation spread in semitones, showing how much your pitch moves while you read
• The percentage of voiced time spent inside your target range
• Save the result to Progress, or discard it and read again. A result needs at least 3 seconds of voiced sound, and a reading stops by itself after 3 minutes
PROGRESS OVER TIME
• A trend chart of your session medians, each with its 10th to 90th percentile bar and your target range behind it
• A dated list of saved sessions showing median, range and time in range, where you can delete any session
• The newest 500 sessions are kept
YOUR OWN TARGET RANGE
Set the low and high edges of your range in Hz with simple plus and minus buttons in 5 Hz steps, or start from one of three presets that are plain numbers with no labels. There is no right range for everyone: choose the pitch range you want to practice speaking in, and change it whenever your goal changes.
WHO IT IS FOR
• Presenters, teachers and anyone who speaks for work and wants to keep an eye on their speaking pitch
• People practicing speaking in a pitch range they have chosen for themselves
• Anyone working with a voice coach or speech professional who wants a simple record between sessions
• Language learners and curious speakers who want to see how lively or flat their intonation is
TIPS AND LIMITS
• Phone microphones, background noise and distance change the readings, so use the same quiet room and hold the phone at a similar distance each time
• Pitch is only one part of how a voice sounds; this app measures pitch and nothing else
• The Guide tab explains every number in plain words
QUESTIONS
Is my voice recorded?
No. Microphone audio is analyzed in memory to find its pitch and is not recorded or saved. A saved session keeps only numbers such as the median, range and time in range.
Which range should I pick?
Whatever matches your own goal. The presets are only starting points, and you can move either edge at any time.
Why do my numbers change from one day to the next?
Readings shift with the room, the position of the phone and how you happen to be speaking. Comparing several readings of the same passage tells you more than any single result.
Voice Pitch is a practice log, not a speech therapy tool. This app is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any medical condition. Consult a healthcare professional for medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. If you have pain or hoarseness, or you train your voice for health reasons, work with a qualified voice or speech professional.
