About Label Lab: Label Maker & Print
Label Maker for the label sheets and rolls you already have: design a label on your phone, fill a whole sheet, and print it through your phone's print service or save it as a PDF.
▶ DESIGN A LABEL
• Text with size, bold, alignment and seven ink colours. Long text shrinks to fit, down to the smallest size you set, and the editor warns when it still doesn't fit.
• Barcodes: EAN-13, EAN-8, UPC-A, UPC-E, Code 128 and Code 39, plus QR codes. The app checks the value (for example the last digit of an EAN-13) and warns when the bars get thinner than many scanners need.
• 44 line icons, rectangles, ellipses and lines, photos from your library or the camera, and today's date or a date some days ahead.
• Drag elements into place, rotate them a quarter turn, duplicate them.
• 9 templates to start from: pantry jar, storage box, file folder, school name, return address, 4×6 shipping, price tag, cable tag and freezer with a use-by date.
▶ FILL A WHOLE SHEET
• Numbered labels: start, step, how many, leading zeros, text before and after the number (001, 002… or BOX-01…).
• From a list: choose a CSV file (comma, semicolon or tab, up to 2 MB), put a column name in braces on the label and pick which column fills each field. One row per label.
• Copies of each label, or a column that says how many labels each row gets (0 skips the row).
• Up to 5,000 labels in one print.
▶ PRINT ON SHEETS AND ROLLS
• Built-in US Letter layouts with 30 and 10 labels per sheet, A4 layouts with 21, 14 and 65, and single labels of 62×29 mm, 54×25 mm, 4×6 in and 100×150 mm.
• Add your own size in mm or inches: label size, columns × rows, margins and gaps. The app checks that it fits the page.
• See the sheet to scale with rulers, every label numbered in print order.
• Partly used sheet? Tap the labels that are gone or skip the first ones, and printing starts on the next one.
• Print, share a PDF, or share one label as an image. No watermark is added to your labels.
▶ CALIBRATE YOUR PRINTER
• Print the calibration page on plain paper, measure two rulers and a cross, and enter the four numbers. The app corrects your printer's scale and offset for that sheet size.
• Each printer you name keeps its own corrections.
• Fine-tune in 0.2 mm steps, or print cell outlines on plain paper first.
▶ YOUR PROJECTS
• Every project saves as you work. Search, duplicate, and see which ones are marked as printed.
• Change the label size later and the design is scaled to fit.
• Deleted projects stay in Trash for 30 days.
• Save a backup with every project, its photos, your sizes, printers and calibrations. Before a restore changes anything, it shows what will be added, updated or left unchanged.
▶ GOOD TO KNOW
• Printing goes through your phone's print service or a PDF. The app does not connect directly to pocket thermal label printers.
• Labels come out at actual size when your print settings use 100% / actual size (not "fit to page"). The calibration page corrects your printer's offset.
• Built-in sheet layouts follow the published template dimensions. Do one test print on plain paper before using a full sheet.
• Text uses the system typeface; check tight text in the preview.
• Projects are saved on your phone. No account, no sign-in. The camera is used only when you choose to take a photo for a label.
• Ads appear on the projects list, when you come back to the app, and sometimes after you mark labels as printed. Never while a project is open.
