This is a stylish, smartphone-compatible life-logging (activity tracking) app that records and analyzes daily activities with a cute penguin, supporting improvements in time management.
1. Background and Purpose of Development
This app was developed to solve everyday problems such as "not knowing how much time you spend on what" and "easily wasting time on games and chatting."
Existing time management apps are often impersonal, filled only with text and numbers. Therefore, we aimed for a design where an adorable character (a penguin) would be a friendly and enjoyable companion to help users make "recording a habit."
2. Main Functions and Features
Intuitive and easy-to-use "One-Tap Measurement"
Simply tap the category buttons such as "Study," "Games," "Job Hunting," and "Sleep" located at the bottom of the screen to start real-time timer measurement. Prioritizing smartphone usability, we pursued a comfortable UI where buttons scroll smoothly horizontally (swipe).
"History Management (Timeline)" for the Past Week
Your past activity history is beautifully displayed in a chronological list. Even if you accidentally record something, you can easily delete it with an intuitive operation (Dismissible function) by simply swiping (sliding) horizontally.
"Time Allocation Pie Chart Analysis" at a Glance
Based on the recorded data, the app automatically summarizes your time allocation for the past week in a colorful pie chart. You can visually understand at a glance how many minutes you spent on each activity.
"Penguin's AI Advice Function"
As your log accumulates, the penguin on the screen analyzes the data. It provides specific feedback to boost your motivation, such as, "You spent a total of XX minutes on [Studying] in the past week – that's amazing concentration! Next time, try to include time for [Sleep] to improve your balance!"
3. Design and Technical Highlights
Sophisticated Dark Mode: The entire screen is unified with a stylish dark navy (#0F172A) and a three-dimensional card design, making it easy on the eyes even at night and creating a luxurious design that you'll want to open every day.
Cross-Platform Compatibility: By using Flutter and leveraging a local database (Sqflite), it operates quickly and efficiently while protecting user privacy. Even the behavior of input devices (ScrollBehavior) has been meticulously adjusted to ensure comfortable swipe operations in PC development and testing environments.
