ZILL: Sun & Shade Planner

Find your shadier seat. Plan with the sun.

A sunny journey feels different depending on where you sit and when you leave. ZILL uses calculated sun positions, travel time and vehicle direction to help you make more informed choices before a car or bus trip.

Find a shadier seat
Enter your starting point, destination and departure time. Explore estimated sunlight exposure across the journey and compare seat positions in sedans, SUVs, VIP vans, coaches and school buses.

Choose when to leave
Compare estimated seat shade at different departure times. Move through the sun simulator to see how light and shade change as your trip progresses.

Understand sun glare
Driver Mode shows the sun relative to your vehicle's heading, with visual glare indicators and visor guidance. Use a manual heading when a compass reading is unavailable.

Park with your return in mind
Choose when you expect to return to your car and preview the sun's direction at that time. Consider solar orientation when deciding how to park.

Keep your trip handy
Create a digital trip card with a scannable QR code, or export a PDF itinerary to save, print or share. Trip cards contain planning estimates, not transport tickets or confirmed reservations.

Made for everyday planning
Use GPS or choose a location manually. Save recent routes and commute settings, and plan in a dark interface with clear sun and shade visuals.

About the estimates
ZILL estimates a journey between selected locations; it does not provide road routing or turn-by-turn navigation. Sun and shade previews do not account for local buildings, trees or weather, and cannot confirm a shaded parking space or cabin temperature. Use the app to plan ahead and interact only when safely parked.
