About DMi Copilot

DMi Copilot is the travel companion for your BYD Atto 2 DM-i (plug-in hybrid). Plan your route, estimate battery and fuel consumption, and receive route-by-route suggestions on when to use EV, HEV, or SAVE—while driving with Google Maps or Waze.

Designed for those who want to get the most out of their BYD hybrid on interurban roads and highways, without an account or subscription.

━━━ WHAT YOU CAN DO ━━━

• Plan trips with departure, destination, and actual battery on the dashboard
• View distance, duration, and consumption estimates for the round trip
• Consult recommended settings for each segment of the route
• Start navigation with Google Maps, Waze, or in-app navigation
• Activate Copilot: voice alerts and notifications about section changes while using another navigation system
• Manage round-trip trips: pause at the destination, update the actual battery, and initiate the return trip
• Search for charging stations for return charging strategies
• Refine estimates with actual data confirmed after each trip (local calibration)
• Save vehicle profile (Active/Boost), preferences, and recent history on the device

━━━ HOW THE CO-PILOT WORKS ━━━

1. Enter departure and destination and press "Plan Trip"
2. Check estimates and settings per segment
3. Start navigation and grant location and notifications when requested
4. DMi Copilot stays active in the background and guides you with voice and notifications
5. When finished, press "Stop" in the bottom bar

Copilot does not replace Google Maps or Waze: it works alongside your preferred navigation system.

• No account required
• Trips, preferences, and vehicle profile remain on your phone
• No developer cloud servers storing your trips
• The app can use Google Maps Platform for maps and routes (see privacy policy)
