RawCine — RAW Video Recorder

Record video in 10-bit, 8-Bit or even RAW.

RawCine is a pro video camera for Android filmmakers: record true RAW video, 10-bit log video or cinematic 10-bit HDR video, with full manual control and nothing behind a paywall. Shoot flat, grade later in DaVinci Resolve, Premiere Pro, Final Cut or After Effects. RAW needs a phone whose camera can deliver it, and RawCine's free capability report tells you on first launch what yours can do, before you record anything.

Free. Every feature included. No subscription, no in-app purchases, no RAW upgrade to buy.

RAW VIDEO
• True Bayer RAW straight from the sensor, lossless, at full resolution
• 2x2 binned RAW: the same RAW data at a quarter of the size
• Exported on the phone as CinemaDNG, with correct colour matrices and white balance
• Every RAW take gets a small preview video with sound

LOG VIDEO, FROM RAW
• 10-bit log recorded from the sensor's RAW: S-Log3, LogC3, V-Log or DaVinci Intermediate curves, with matching wide gamuts
• A flat log profile at a video file's size, ready for color grading
• Monitor as log, as Rec.709, or through a LUT: five built-in film looks, or load your own .cube LUT
• Render any RAW take to log or Rec.709 video later, with a look and its sound

CINEMATIC VIDEO
• 10-bit HEVC video with HLG HDR where your camera supports it
• 24p, 25p, 30p and more, with shutter angle for natural motion blur
• Time-lapse with exposure ramps from day into night, burst and RAW stills

MANUAL CAMERA CONTROLS
• Manual ISO, shutter speed or shutter angle, shutter or ISO priority, exposure compensation and lock
• Manual focus with focus peaking and focus assist that magnifies where you tapped
• White balance in kelvin, tint, or from a grey card read from the RAW
• Lens buttons for zoom, smooth focus pulls, and a screen lock for the take

PRO MONITORING
• Histogram of the RAW sensor data, waveform, RGB parade, vectorscope
• Zebras, false colour, clipping map, horizon level, framing guides, anamorphic desqueeze

PRO AUDIO
• 24-bit sound, level meters with a clip light, headphone monitoring
• Built-in, wired or USB-C microphone
• A broadcast WAV with timecode for syncing in your editor

FOR THE EDIT
• Timecode, reel names and clip numbers a DIT will recognise
• 16-bit TIFF sequence for Final Cut; trim, crop and zip on export
• Gyroscope log for stabilisation in Gyroflow
• A shot report listing every frame and setting

NEVER LOSE A TAKE
RawCine checks storage, battery, temperature and write speed before you record, not halfway through. If the phone dies mid-take, the recording is recovered next time. Full-resolution RAW is about 8 GB a minute, binned RAW about 2 GB, 10-bit video about 1 GB, and the app shows a take's size before you shoot.

PRIVATE
Nothing you record is uploaded. No account, no location permission, no root needed.

For filmmakers, videographers, cinematographers, vloggers, content creators and anyone who wants a cinema camera look from their phone.

Contains ads, never while you are recording.
