About Chord Finder: Guitar Diagrams

Guitar Chords Finder is an offline guitar chord dictionary built around one thing: showing you exactly where your fingers go. The chord library covers everything from open major and minor shapes to 7ths, diminished and augmented voicings.

Pick a root note from A to G#, choose a chord type, and a clean fretboard diagram appears — strings, frets, numbered fingers, open and muted string markers, and barre lines drawn where they belong.

WHAT YOU GET
- Browse guitar chords by root note and chord type
- Clear chord charts you can read at arm's length
- Finger positions spelled out string by string
- Alternate voicings further up the neck
- Left-handed diagram mode
- Favorites, so your go-to shapes are one tap away
- A short practice tip for each chord family
- Fully offline: no account, no microphone, no internet

FOR BEGINNERS AND BEYOND
If you are learning your first guitar chords, start with the open major and minor shapes and use the finger numbers until they stick. If you already play, the chord dictionary side takes over: maj7 and m7 voicings for jazz comping, sus2 and sus4 for movement, diminished and augmented for passing chords, and 6, m6 and add9 when a triad is not enough.

CHORD TYPES
Major, minor and dominant 7th are open to everyone. Pro unlocks the complete chord vocabulary: maj7, m7, sus2, sus4, diminished, augmented, 6, m6 and add9, on every root.

BARRE CHORDS
Barre shapes are drawn with the bar clearly marked so you can see which strings your first finger has to cover. The built-in tips cover rolling your finger onto its side and keeping your thumb behind the neck.

CHORD FINDER, ROOT AND TYPE
A chord identifier and finder for the moment you forget a shape: pick a root and a type, and the diagram shows it string by string with numbered fingers and a short tip. Use it as a chord library to browse every shape by root and type. As a chords app it keeps major and minor to browse; the subscription opens 7ths, sus2 and sus4, diminished, augmented, 6ths, m6 and add9, alternate voicings up the neck, left-handed diagrams and unlimited favorites.

GUITAR CHORD CHART FOR BEGINNERS

The first chords most guitarists learn are open-position major and minor shapes: G, C, D, Em, Am. This chord chart shows each one with finger numbers on the strings, open string markers, and fret positions so there is no ambiguity about where to put your hand. The tips for each chord family include the common mistakes — where beginners typically mute a string by accident, how to place the thumb for a clean first chord, when to try a capo instead.

GUITAR CHORD DICTIONARY FOR EVERY STYLE

Pop and rock use major, minor and dominant seventh chords. Jazz adds major seventh and minor seventh shapes. Soul and funk use dominant ninths and suspended chords. The chord dictionary covers all of these in one offline reference: browse by root note and chord type, and every shape is drawn string by string with numbered fingers. Alternate voicings up the neck are included so you can choose a position that sits well next to what you were just playing.

LEFT-HANDED GUITAR CHORD DIAGRAMS

Left-handed guitarists read chord diagrams mirrored from standard notation, which makes most chord books difficult to use. A dedicated left-handed mode flips every diagram — low E on the right, high E on the left — so the chart matches what you see when you look at your own fretboard.

CAPO CHORDS — TRANSPOSING OPEN SHAPES

Capo 3 and a G shape: you are playing Bb. Capo 1 raises a semitone. Treat the capo fret as the new nut. The chord finder covers every root open; pair it with a capo to reach any key without learning new shapes.
