About Peapod Lab Crosses
Pick two parents and watch the Punnett square fill itself. Peapod Lab Crosses works out genotype and phenotype ratios on calm notebook paper, so you can see exactly where every 3 : 1 comes from.
BUILD A CROSS
Choose each parent's genotype from allele tiles and the Punnett square refills with animated boxes. Monohybrid and dihybrid crosses use squares; three-gene crosses switch to a branch diagram. Genotype and phenotype ratios are counted, reduced and cross-checked against the branch method, so every result is confirmed two ways.
MORE THAN SIMPLE DOMINANCE
Complete dominance, incomplete dominance and codominance are all modelled, along with ABO blood groups and X-linked fruit fly eye colour.
PRACTICE THAT EXPLAINS ITSELF
Practice mode deals generated problems with four options and a numbered worked solution, so you can follow the reasoning step by step.
PEDIGREE PUZZLES
Pedigree puzzles draw family trees of invented creatures. Pick every inheritance pattern that fits, and the built-in solver checks your answer.
TRACK YOUR PROGRESS
Progress, streaks and your last cross are saved on the device.
HIGHLIGHTS
- Interactive Punnett squares for one and two genes, branch diagrams for three
- Complete, incomplete and codominance plus ABO blood groups and X-linked traits
- Endless generated practice problems with worked explanations
- Pedigree puzzles checked by a built-in solver
- Fully offline, no ads, no accounts, progress saved on your device
Peapod Lab Crosses needs no internet connection, shows no ads and plays no sound. It is a quiet, focused genetics trainer for students, teachers and anyone curious about how traits are inherited.
