Functional Skills Maths L2

Practise for Functional Skills Maths Level 2 (England) with 1,032 original practice questions written for this app and checked by independent reviewers. Type your answers — numbers, money, fractions, times, coordinates — and see them marked exactly, with the rounding each question asks for. Every question comes with a worked method.

WHAT IS INSIDE
• 1,032 original Level 2 maths questions across all 30 skills in the app, from the DfE Level 2 subject content
• Real-life, multi-step problems: budgets, tax, interest, ratios, speed, pay, areas, volumes, timetables, charts and probability
• Drawings, graphs, charts and tables to read, drawn clearly for small screens
• Non-calculator questions — the study calculator is hidden on these, just as calculators are not allowed in the non-calculator part of the test
• Step-by-step help on problem-solving questions: check each step before you give the final answer
• Draw plans and elevations by shading squares on a grid
• 10 functional skills maths test format practice papers: section A without a calculator, section B with one
• Mistake review, notes and flashcards for every skill; works offline, no account needed

LEVEL 2 MATHS: THE THREE AREAS
• Using numbers and the number system (percentages, fractions, decimals, ratio and proportion, formulae, order of operations)
• Using measures, shape and space (money, conversions, compound measures, perimeter, area, volume, scale drawings, coordinates, plans and elevations)
• Handling information and data (averages and range, grouped data, comparing data sets, probability, charts and scatter diagrams)

FUNCTIONAL SKILLS MATHS PRACTICE THAT MARKS LIKE A TEACHER WOULD WANT
Answers are checked exactly: £12.50 and 12.5 are the same amount, 6/8 is not accepted when the question asks for the simplest form, and a whole number of tins means rounding up. If your answer matches a common slip, the app tells you which one. Written working is not marked — use the notebook, then compare it with the worked steps.

FUNCTIONAL SKILLS MATHS TEST FORMAT PRACTICE
Like a functional skills maths mock exam: Ofqual requires a quarter of the marks to be taken without a calculator and about a quarter to test underpinning skills, and the practice papers follow those shares. Choose your own time (Level 2 assessments last between 1 hour 45 minutes and 2 hours 30 minutes in total, set by your awarding organisation) or practise untimed. You can leave and carry on later. Practice marks are for practice only — they are not results or predictions from any awarding organisation, and no pass mark is shown.

LEVEL 2 MATHS REVISION THAT STARTS WHERE YOU ARE
Start with the free diagnostic: a short set across the three areas that points to the skills to practise first. Then practise by skill or by area, review your mistakes, and read the short notes for each skill.

FREE TO TRY
The diagnostic, 1 practice paper and sample questions in every skill are free, with full worked methods. A one-time purchase unlocks every question and every practice paper. No subscription.

WHO IT IS FOR
