About GED Practice Test & Exam Prep
GED Prep is a GED practice test and study app for adults preparing for the GED® test one subject at a time. Start with a free diagnostic in the subject you are preparing next, see why each answer is right or wrong, then retry the skills you missed with new questions. Independent study aid: not a government app, not affiliated with ACE or GED Testing Service.
WHAT YOU GET
- 1,080 original practice questions in 4 subjects: Mathematical Reasoning (294), Reasoning Through Language Arts (282), Science (261), Social Studies (243).
- A worked explanation on every question: each wrong choice on multiple-choice items, common errors on typed-answer items.
- 630 study notes, grouped by subject and concept.
- 630 flashcards tied to the concept behind each question.
- Progress tracked subject by subject.
- Progress is saved on your device and practice works offline; a connection is needed only for purchase and restore.
BUILT FOR HOW THE GED TEST ASKS
- 179 numeric-entry items where you type the answer instead of choosing.
- Charts, tables, maps and historical documents in 226 items.
- Math items are marked calculator or no calculator; allowed items open a practice calculator, not the official one.
- A formula reference in our own words, not the official formula sheet.
- RLA extended-response practice: a prompt with source passages, three reviewed sample essays and a self-check checklist. Your essay is not scored, and the app never predicts a score.
WHO IT IS FOR
- Adults earning a high school equivalency credential through the GED test
- Learners who already passed some subjects: mark them and the app points you to the next one
- Returning students who want to find weak skills before test day
HOW THE EXAM WORKS
The GED® test has four separate subject tests: Mathematical Reasoning, Reasoning Through Language Arts (RLA), Science and Social Studies. Some questions ask you to type an answer, and RLA includes an extended response. Rules, prices, ID requirements and eligibility vary by state; check ged.com (linked in the app).
CURRENT CONTENT
October 2026 release (GED prep 2026 edition): three untimed practice tests per subject, built from items kept out of regular practice. A question-bank app for GED preparation, not a video course.
PRICING
GED test prep with one purchase: everything unlocked, no subscription, no ads, no auto-renewal.
FREE PREVIEW
A free eight-question diagnostic in each of the four subjects, every answer explained, plus retry sets with new questions and the RLA extended-response practice set. No account and no signup required.
