About Park Pin: Find My Parked Car

Park Pin remembers where you left your car.

Tap once when you park. The spot is saved on your phone — no account, no sign-up, nothing uploaded. When you come back, Park Pin shows how far away the car is and which way to head.

WHAT IT DOES
• One-tap save. The location is stored the moment you tap, before the app asks you for anything else.
• Honest GPS accuracy. Park Pin shows the accuracy of the fix it saved (for example "±16 ft") and says plainly when the signal was weak, instead of pretending to know better than it does.
• Photo of the spot. Snap the pillar, the bay number, the row sign. Photos are kept in the app's own storage, so Park Pin never asks for access to your gallery.
• Level and row note. "Level P3 · Row H · near the lifts" — inside a car park this is often more use than any GPS reading.
• Parking meter reminder. 30 minutes, 1 hour or 2 hours, scheduled on your phone. Nothing is sent to a server.
• Walk back with distance and direction. A compass ring, the distance in feet or metres, and the way to go. If your phone reports no compass heading, Park Pin tells you so and gives the direction in words rather than leaving you watching a spinner.
• Nudge the pin. GPS left it a few metres off? Move it 5 m north, south, east or west by hand.
• Open in Maps. Hand the spot to your usual maps app for street-level directions.
• Recent spots. The last 30 days, cleared automatically along with their photos.
• Feet and miles, or metres and kilometres.

ABOUT ADS
Park Pin is free and supported by ads — but not while you need it. There are no ads on the screen where you save your spot, and none on the screen guiding you back. A banner sits on the home screen, and a full-screen ad appears only after you tap "Found It!", never during your first three trips.

PERMISSIONS
• Location — used only while the app is open, to save and find your spot. Park Pin does not request background location and cannot follow you when it is closed.
• Camera — only if you choose to photograph your spot.
• Notifications — only if you set a meter reminder.
Park Pin does not request access to your photos and videos, files, contacts, or microphone.

A NOTE ON ACCURACY
GPS is at its best outdoors with a clear view of the sky. Inside a multi-storey car park the signal bounces, and the saved point can be off by tens of metres. That is why Park Pin shows the accuracy, warns you when it was poor, and nudges you towards a photo and a level note. It is a memory aid, not a precision instrument.
