Panchangam Daily

Panchangam is a daily Hindu almanac that works out the day's times for wherever
you actually are, and explains each one in plain English.

Open it in the morning and the whole day is there: the tithi, nakshatra, yoga and
karana with the time each one changes, sunrise and sunset, and a live reading of
where the Sun and Moon are in the sky right now.

The times come from a planetary ephemeris, calculated for your own latitude and
longitude at the moment you ask. Nothing is copied from a printed table made for
another city, which is why Rahu Kaal here will not be the same minute as Rahu Kaal
three hundred miles away. Look up any date, past or future, and the calculation is
done again for that day.

WRITTEN FOR PEOPLE WHO WERE NEVER TAUGHT THIS
Every page says what a thing is for before it says what it is called. The
traditional name is kept, because that is what you will hear at home — but you do
not need to know it to use the app.
