READ TEXT OUT OF A PHOTO (OCR)
Photograph a page or open a scan and Manuki reads the text out of it, on your device, with nothing uploaded. Seventeen language options: Latin-script languages, Greek, Russian, Ukrainian, Bulgarian, Serbian, Arabic, Hebrew, Thai, Hindi, Bengali, Tamil, Telugu, Georgian, Armenian, Turkish and Vietnamese. Save the result as a searchable PDF and the text stays findable.

AI THAT USES YOUR OWN KEY
Add your key for Google AI, OpenAI or Anthropic and Manuki can summarise a document, answer a question about the part you selected, rewrite a paragraph, translate it, or find every mention of something.

You choose the provider. You pay them directly, at their price. What you send goes from your device straight to them — it never passes through us. The AI features do nothing at all until you add a key, and everything else works without one.

PRIVACY YOU CAN CHECK
• Your documents never reach us. We run no server and you have no account with us.
• For Latin-script OCR you choose: Google's ML Kit, which sends Google usage statistics (never your text), or Tesseract, which sends nothing.
• Crash reports stay off until you switch them on, and you can switch them off again.
• Lock the app with your fingerprint or screen lock, and keep sensitive files in a locked folder.
• Works offline. The internet is used for the AI provider you chose, to download an OCR language, and for crash reports or ML Kit only if you allow them.
