PDF editing adds text and annotations over existing pages; it does not change the original text. Office previews are text-based, and PDF-to-Word exports do not preserve the original layout. PDF text search and extraction require a text layer. Drawn and typed signatures are visual marks, not certificate-based digital signatures.
