Foretold: Predict With Friends

Foretold is a prediction game with friends. Call it, lock it, and grade it later — a prediction journal that scores your calibration, plus duels that settle who actually called it. Predict with friends for bragging rights, not money.

Write down what you think will happen, say how sure you are, pick the day it settles, and lock it. No edits. No quiet deletions. No rewriting history after the fact. When the day comes, you grade yourself: right, wrong, or void.

Do that ten times and Foretold shows you the number almost nobody ever sees — your calibration. "When you say 73%, you're right 55% of the time." It's a little confronting, and then it makes you better: at forecasts, at plans, at knowing when to hedge and when to commit.

HOW A CALL WORKS
One sentence, up to 200 characters. A confidence between 50% and 99% on a slider. A resolve-by date, and a category. Then a screen that restates exactly what you're locking, because after that the only thing you can do to it is grade it.

DUELS
Think a friend is wrong? Make it official. Send them an eight-character code. Both of you pick a side and a confidence, and neither can see the other's call until both have committed. When it settles you each file a verdict on the claim itself — agree and it resolves cleanly, disagree and it's recorded as a split. Your record sticks around. Duels are free for everyone, always, and there is no feed, no discovery and no way to see a duel you weren't given the code for.
