DCL - CaptureClass

CaptureClass is a study app that turns every class into a complete learning loop: record the lecture, get a searchable transcript, understand it with an AI tutor that shows its sources, practise what you're weakest on, and see what you've actually mastered.

Record and transcribe lectures
• One-tap lecture recording, organized by course
• Automatic, searchable transcripts of every class
• Live transcription as the lecture happens, with optional live translation
• Translate transcripts into 19 languages, including Spanish, Chinese, Arabic, Hindi and Korean

Today: your day, planned
Open the app to a study plan, not a blank page. Today builds a short list of what to study from your own courses, concepts and exam dates, ordered by what needs it most, with upcoming deadlines alongside. A weekly check-in keeps the plan realistic.

SAM, your AI tutor
SAM (Student Assistant and Mentor) helps any time of day in three modes: ask questions about any course topic, work through problems with guided step-by-step hints, or practise for tests. When SAM answers from your own lecture notes or documents, it tells you which one it used, and you can tap the reference to open it.

Know what you know
• Concepts for each course, drawn from your own material
• Practice quizzes that ask how sure you are, not just whether you're right
• "Teach it back": explain a concept in your own words and get rubric feedback
• A mastery map that links every level to its evidence, and says "not enough evidence" when that's the truth

Learning journal
Capture a thought, question or reflection in seconds, typed or spoken, and link it to the lecture or material it came from. Search your entries or ask SAM to find themes across them.

Study guides, quizzes and course materials
• AI study guides and practice quizzes generated from your actual course content
• Upload syllabi, lecture slides, notes and assignments; text is extracted so it is searchable and SAM can use it
• Upload your course schedule and your courses are set up automatically
• Academic calendar and reminders for exams, assignments and deadlines

Honest progress tracking
Follow classes captured, practice sessions, reflections and concepts mastered week by week, and set your own goals. Every chart explains what it does and doesn't mean. No leaderboards, no comparison with other students.

Career center
Explore careers that match your interests and strengths, compare course catalogs from more than one college, and build a semester-by-semester course roadmap with suggested clubs, internships and certifications.

Your data, visible to you
• See everything CaptureClass stores about you, download a copy, or delete your account
• Read a log of every AI request made for you and which of your material it used
• You're asked for consent before AI features are used for the first time
• We don't allow our AI provider to train on your data
