Work a small brass instrument one ring at a time. Turn its engraved discs until the radial slits connect the feeder to the centre, then release the steel ball and follow its journey through the grooves. Ordinary channels permit travel in either direction; solid pawls demand the correct approach, and periodic gates hold the ball until their next opening.

Fifteen discs introduce shifted ports, different channel spans and tighter turn allowances. Continuous play carries you into further sectors, where you choose a wider gate window or shorter channels before preparing the next instrument. These choices change the mechanism you actually play.

The route sheet records the ball's visited path and the configuration that produced it, including the exact point where an attempt stopped. Replay that trace, retry the current sector or revisit an unlocked disc. Your progress, best score and detent feedback preference stay on the device, and pausing preserves the mechanism's clock. On compact screens, select Outer, Middle or Inner, then turn the disc with the same angular gesture.
