Tonalli — Aztec Day Sign

Today has a character. So do you.

Tonalli brings the Tōnalpōhualli — the 260-day sacred count of the Aztec/Mexica calendar — to your phone, computed with the Caso–Nicholson correlation, the scholarly standard anchored to the fall of Tenochtitlan (13 August 1521).

TWENTY DAY-SIGNS, THIRTEEN NUMBERS
Each day pairs one of twenty day-signs with a number from one to thirteen — a quality and an intensity. The wheel turns through all 260 combinations before a day repeats, shown on a live dial.

HONESTLY UNCERTAIN
Scholars do not fully agree on the exact correlation across five centuries — this app says so plainly rather than claim false precision, and names its sources.

A DAILY PRACTICE, HIDDEN IN A STORY
Each day's sign sets the quality and brings one short, true-to-life scenario with three choices. Your choices quietly gather into the Four Tezcatlipocas — Xipe Totec's renewal, Tezcatlipoca's reflection, Quetzalcoatl's wisdom, Huitzilopochtli's resolve — and your star grows with a lifetime of practice. No scores to chase.

ASK ANYTHING
Ask about today's day-sign, your birth sign, a number, or the tradition itself — the current count and your birth details are already in view. Plain language, any time.

GROUNDED IN THE CLASSICAL TRADITION
Drawing on Lewis Spence's The Gods of Mexico (1923) and the wider ethnohistoric record — retrieved, quoted, and shown, not invented.
