EarMaestro Intonation training

EarMaestro is the ultimate ear training app designed to help musicians, music students, and anyone passionate about music develop their listening skills. Whether you're a beginner or an advanced musician, EarMaestro provides a comprehensive and progressive approach to mastering musical intervals and intonation.

🎵 THREE EXERCISE MODES

• INTERVALS MODE: Focus exclusively on interval recognition. Train your ear to identify musical intervals from perfect unison (P1) to perfect octave (P8), including major and minor seconds, thirds, sixths, and sevenths, as well as perfect fourths, fifths, and augmented fourths.

• INTONATION MODE: Develop your ability to detect subtle tuning differences. Practice identifying when notes are sharp or flat by specific amounts measured in cents, building the precision needed for professional-level pitch recognition.

• FULL MODE: Combine both skills for the ultimate challenge. Identify both the interval and its tuning accuracy simultaneously, preparing you for real-world musical situations where both skills are essential.

📈 PROGRESSIVE DIFFICULTY LEVELS

EarMaestro features five carefully designed difficulty levels that gradually introduce new intervals and more challenging tuning differences:

• Level 1: Start with the basics - perfect unison and perfect octave, with larger tuning differences (75 cents) to help you learn.

• Level 2: Add perfect fourths and fifths, with tuning differences reduced to 50 cents.

• Level 3: Expand to include major and minor seconds and thirds, continuing with 50-cent tuning challenges.

• Level 4: Introduce major and minor sevenths, with tuning precision increased to 25 cents.

• Level 5: Master all intervals including major and minor sixths and augmented fourths, with the most challenging 15-cent tuning differences.

🔥 STREAK TRACKING

Build consistent practice habits with daily streak tracking. Each day you complete an exercise, your streak increases. Watch your streak counter grow and stay motivated to practice every day!

📊 DETAILED STATISTICS

Track your progress with comprehensive statistics that show your performance for each interval. See which intervals you've mastered and which ones need more practice. Color-coded displays make it easy to identify your strengths and areas for improvement at a glance.

🎹 REALISTIC AUDIO

EarMaestro uses high-quality sine wave generation to provide clear, accurate audio examples. Notes are played sequentially, and you can replay them as many times as needed. The app ensures both notes stay within a comfortable frequency range (C3 to C5) for optimal learning.

⚙️ CUSTOMIZABLE SETTINGS

Personalize your training experience with adjustable settings. Choose whether to use diatonic scale notes for the first note, making exercises more musically contextual, or use random frequencies for a more challenging approach.

✨ BEAUTIFUL, INTUITIVE INTERFACE

Enjoy a modern, clean interface designed for focus and ease of use. The level picker features smooth scrolling and visual feedback, while the exercise interface provides clear visual indicators for correct and incorrect answers. After checking your answer, you can tap any colored button to hear that specific interval and tuning combination, helping you learn from your mistakes.
