About Cedar: Read Aloud Books & PDFs
Cedar reads anything aloud in a natural voice — PDFs, ebooks, articles, even a page you photograph — and highlights every word as it goes, so your eyes and ears stay together.
Import it, press play, go for a walk. Cedar does the rest. No account needed to try it.
WHAT YOU CAN LISTEN TO
• PDFs and EPUBs, from Files, Drive, Gmail, or any app that can share
• Any article — paste the link and Cedar keeps the words, drops the clutter
• Anything you copy — notes, an email, a passage from somewhere else
• Printed pages — photograph a page and hear it read back
• 47,000 classic books, already inside the app
WHY PEOPLE KEEP IT
Students get through the reading list on the bus. Commuters turn a dead commute into a chapter a day. Readers with dyslexia or ADHD finally finish long documents. And when your eyes are done for the night, the
reading doesn't have to be.
THE READING PART, DONE PROPERLY
• Word-by-word highlighting that follows the voice exactly
• Tap any sentence to jump straight there
• Real PDF view — listen while you follow the actual page
• Dozens of natural text to speech voices, each previewable in a tap
• Chapters found automatically, with a contents picker
• Bookmarks, adjustable speed, and a sleep timer
• Paper, sepia, and night themes, at the text size you like
• Keeps playing with the screen off, with lock-screen controls
• Folders and search, for a library that grows
47,000 CLASSICS INCLUDED
Austen, Melville, Doyle, Shelley, Montgomery, Shakespeare and thousands more — ready to add and keep. It's also the fastest way to hear what Cedar sounds like: open one and press play.
BUILT FOR THE WAY YOU READ
Cedar is a text to speech reader, an ebook reader, a PDF reader and an article reader in one place. Whether you are studying, commuting, resting your eyes, or reading with dyslexia or ADHD, it turns anything
written into something you can listen to.

One of the best text to speech apps out there!
The app is great to make me avoiding to stay all day long with my eyes in my phone. I can use the voices to read my books that I've put on hold for so long. The black and orange set up is easy on my eyes and I like the font and the fact that I can always switch between reading the text or use the voices to continue ...
It's great that if I can't find the official audiobook for what I'm interested in, this app has some great voices, with intonation that can make your listening very good and it helps with long technical books to have this, when you can't read but can listen. I hope more voices and languages will be added and I appre...
